Master's Programmes

The Einstein School currently offers two master's programmes, both of which open up career opportunities in academia, the public and private sectors, the non-profit sector and international organisations.

Master in Science, Technology and Policy (MSc ETH STP)    

Complement your scientific or technical background with skills in policy analysis and contribute to evidence-informed policymaking that addresses key societal challenges through this interdisciplinary Master's programme.

  • Target group: Bachelor's graduates in natural sciences or engineering (including mathematics and architecture) who are highly motivated to take an active role in policy-making and policy analysis.
  • Format: On-campus study at the ETH Zurich campus.
  • Duration: Four semesters, full-time study.
  • Language of instruction: English.

Master in Comparative and International Studies (MACIS)

Acquire theoretical, methodological and research skills in the field of empirical research in comparative and international politics through this research-oriented programme, which is offered jointly with the University of Zurich at the Centre for Comparative and International Studies, a partner of the Einstein School.

  • Target group: Bachelor's degree graduates from disciplines in the social and behavioural sciences, such as political science, public policy, economics, business administration and psychology.
  • Format: On-campus study at the ETH campus in Zurich.
  • Duration: Four semesters, full-time study.
  • Language of instruction: English.
